FAQ – What Do People Usually Ask Us?

Order our free assessment survey to get a comprehensive overview of where your company currently is in promoting responsibility and communicating it.

The best foundation for a sustainability program is a materiality analysis. It maps out the key business factors from a sustainability perspective, often involving your stakeholders—either broadly or narrowly. With that insight, it’s much easier to build a program that focuses on what truly matters. Contact us if you want to start making a sustainability program!

A materiality analysis outlines your company’s most relevant business themes in terms of responsibility. In practice, it helps prioritize where your focus should be. From that prioritized list, you can more easily define your key marketing messages. Since you can’t communicate everything, materiality helps ensure you’re focusing on the right topics.

It’s a simplified version of the larger corporate sustainability standards and was developed by EFRAG, a reporting-focused organization. The final VSME standard was published in December 2024. It’s not only a helpful tool for reporting, but also a valuable guide for SMEs on what actions to take to advance sustainability.

Green Claims Directive is a proposed EU directive—often called the “greenwashing directive.” Its goal is to regulate environmental claims made by companies, which have gotten a bit out of hand. Once adopted, companies will be required to back their sustainability claims with verified facts, pre-approved by a third party. After the transition period, only substantiated claims will be allowed in marketing.
